MULTI award-winning energy efficiency company J &J Crump & Son is offering people currently under lockdown the opportunity to check if they are eligible for grant funded or free support.
As a company it runs Warm Up schemes across the UK in conjunction with local authorities, which offers a whole host of householders – not just those on benefits – the opportunity to get insulation, new boilers and heating systems.
And although installation is currently on hold during the pandemic, applications are still being dealt with so that anyone eligible will be able to benefit when the lockdown ends.
The company runs Warm Up schemes in Hartlepool, Redcar and Cleveland, Hambleton in the North, along with Warm Up the Borough which covers Scarborough, Filey and Whitby.
It also operates Warm Up Devon, Warm Up Isle of Wight and Cosy Homes Barking and Dagenham, working with local authorities in all of these areas to deliver a variety of energy efficiency measures.
It has helped more than 100,000 homes and has brought in more than £50m worth of grant funding to help the most vulnerable or those on low incomes benefit from a range of improvements.
The company has just unveiled a new website – www.JJCrump.com – to make it easier for people to check the eligibility criteria in their particular area, along with details on how they can self-refer or refer members of their family.
“We know that most people are currently at home so this is a good time to go on to the website for a particular Warm Up scheme and to see if they are eligible,” said MD, Steve Crump.
“We are still able to start the process and then when we are able to start installations again, those who do meet the criteria won’t have long to wait.”
J & J Crump & Sons is one of the UK’s longest established insulation and heating companies, established for more than 30 years.
The company provides a range of services from cavity wall insulation and loft insulation to boiler installation and servicing, central heating and air source heat pumps.
The Warm Up schemes have won 10 energy efficiency awards in recent years, including being named the North East’s large project of the year for its Hartlepool scheme.
The projects offer people a number of free or funded energy efficiency measures, including boilers, loft insulation and cavity wall insulation, working with all the major utility companies.
“We would urge anyone who lives in the areas covered by our Warm Up schemes or who is on benefits to check the new website which is really easy to use and has all the information about how someone can apply for themselves or for a family member,” said Steve.
