THERE’s a new face on the management team at award-winning insulation and heating company, J & J Crump & Son Ltd.

Ian Bacon has joined the company as EWI manager to head up the company’s newly established, external wall insulation (EWI) division.

Ian, from Mansfield, brings with him a wealth of experience having worked in the EWI industry for more than 15 years, overseeing large scale EWI projects for Local Authorities in the Midlands and South that saw thousands of social housing properties transformed as well as private sector properties, high rise blocks of flats and schools.

He joins that team at an exciting time for the company as it rolls out several major projects in partnership with local authorities and utility companies which will see EWI become part of its core offering, alongside cavity wall and loft insulation, boiler replacements, full new heating systems and air source heat pumps.

“I’m delighted to be part of the J J Crump team,” said Ian. “The company has an excellent reputation for delivering good quality, reliable and competitive services and for building long-term successful relationships with customers, local authorities, social housing providers and funding partners alike.

“It’s exciting to be joining the company at a time when it is growing and expanding its range of services and to be able to drive forward the EWI side of the business.”

The Sheffield- based company was established over 35 years ago and delivers its award-winning ‘Warm-Up’ energy efficiency schemes around the country from its network of depots in Sheffield, Newton Abbot, The Isle of Wight, and Tutbury in Derbyshire.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Ian on board,” said MD Steve Crump. “The company is going through a period of growth and it’s the right time for us to add EWI to our core services.

“To be able to work hand in hand with local authorities and our Utility funding partners on area-based projects and be able to deliver energy efficiency measures to all properties, including the hard to treat ones, is great news.

“I am very much looking forward to working closely with Ian in the future.”
